Wednesday, August 6, 2014 was UW–Madison Day at the Wisconsin State Fair. And while hundreds of fairgoers celebrated all that is great about UW-Madison at booths and displays on Central park, those same fairgoers generously contributed to a school supply drive led by the Wisconsin Alumni Association.
Over 200 UW–Madison alumni volunteered at the admissions gates, greeting fairgoers and accepting school supplies and donations, leading to an amazing collection. Learn more about this record breaking day and how these donations will benefit Milwaukee Public School students
On Central Park, more than 300 faculty, staff, and students engaged fairgoers at more than 40 interactive displays. It gave the opportunities for all ages to explore, experience, and connect with the discoveries of UW-Madison through dozens of activities. Relive the excitement of the day through social media and a video.
Thank you to the faculty, staff, volunteers and students, for taking the time to make UW–Madison Day at the State Fair a success!
