School Supplies Drive

Turn your visit to UW–Madison Day at the State Fair on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 into a way to help others! To benefit Milwaukee-area children who lack the equipment for a successful school year, UW–Madison is sponsoring a school supplies drive. Simply bring a new, unopened school supply from this list to a State Fair admissions gate, and you’ll receive $4 off adult admission until 4 p.m.  One discount per item donated. Please, all donations must be new, unused and in their original packaging.

Can’t make it to the fair in person? Help UW–Madison make a difference by donating school supplies for Milwaukee Public Schools. Look for a donation box locations coming soon.

  • Wide ruled spiral notebooks
  • Pocket folders in primary colors – 6 or 12 count
  • Fiskars blunt tip kid friendly scissors – 3 count
  • Box of 12 or 24 Colored pencils
  • Package of loose leaf paper – wide ruled
  • Package of 12 or 24 pencils
  • Box of Crayola Colored Markers “classic colors”
  • Box or Package of 12 or 24 Glue Sticks
  • Package of 4 Expo dry erase markers
  • Box of Highlighters
  • Rulers
  • Box of large pink erasers
  • Boxes of Ziploc Baggies – quart and gallon size
  • Bottles of Purell Instant Hand Sanitizer (8 oz size)
